Welcome to
Bravery Therapy

I am non-traditional and feel comfortable treating other non-traditional folks

I believe there is an interconnectedness within ourselves, between each other and with the environment around us. Through self-exploration, reflection and discovery there is power in developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and how the interactions we have with others can ripple out to impact a greater circle.

I also believe that life can be both serious and light, and allowing ourselves patience and compassion while we navigate the challenges and triumphs can help soften the edges and allow our laughter and smiles to linger. Therapy is one path to broadening this lens in order to see ourselves and each other more clearly.

My intent is to assist clients with recognizing and accessing their own internal resourcefulness, while also exploring possibilities and choices about how they are in relationship with themselves and the world around them. I am passionate about helping people and enjoy assisting folks from all types of backgrounds who want to work on developing their own pathways to possible resolutions and perhaps more peace and understanding in life.

About Me

Raised on the Oregon Coast in a non-traditional household, I developed a broad perspective on how diverse families can express themselves. I am a parent to a grown son and have been fortunate to have pursued education and found social work as a career pathway that fits my character and abilities. Current interests include time spent outdoors, quality time with loved ones, dancing, swimming and walking.

About My Practice

Anxiety, trauma, panic attacks and grief and loss

I specialize in providing therapeutic counseling services to those who have experienced trauma, have persistent anxious feelings or behavior, panic attacks, grief and loss, or are negatively impacted by other mental health factors.

I am limited to working with those aged 16 and older. I have experience working with individuals, as well as families and couples. I am comfortable providing services to people from a host of backgrounds, and I am a LGBTQ+ ally and support person.

Clinical Focus

I treat individuals 16 & up

I use a blend of Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Gestalt as the groundwork for my clinical approach. I believe that a combination of mindfulness and awareness coupled with trusting relationships with supportive people can lead to utilizing the internal power to change unhelpful thoughts or behavior patterns.

Therapy can also be beneficial to many folks who are going through a variety of life changes or specific circumstances, or are ready to make some changes to themselves or perhaps just need some extra support or guidance.
